The Clarins cosmetics group is expected to leave the Paris stock exchange as a listed company very shortly. The regulatory authority controlling the Bourse (AMF) has said that the Clarins family holding group Financiere FC now has 96.4% of the capital and 97.2% of the voting rights after paying some €680m for shares. The operation has made possible the group's withdrawal after being a presence on the financial market since 1984.

The Courtin-Clarins family has made clear that it wants to recover its independence to undertake medium and long-term company strategy without facing financial market sanctions for doing so.
