Champneys addresses mature skin needs

Published: 29-Jul-2008

UK spa brand Champneys is extending its skin care offering with the launch of a new skin care line, claimed to address the needs of maturing skin, particularly during and after the menopause. The Age Excellence range is the result of two years’ R&D and is aimed at women aged 45 and over.

Every product in the line features a core Age Excellence Complex, said to work to a cellular level, helping to reduce inflammation, improve cell communication and mimic oestrogen. The complex combines phyconnexine, an algae said to boost cellular energy, collageneer, derived from white lupin, which is said to increase collagen synthesis and lipovector soy, an encapsulated bio-available soy extract said to mimic oestrogen, keeping skin soft, firm and supple.

The range includes Ultimate Radiance Day Cream, a moisturiser containing purple orchid and rhodiola, to provide anti-oxidant and adaptogenic properties, and micro peal, which increases skin radiance; and Ultimate Repair Night Cream, containing hyaluronic acid, Gatuline RC, derived from the beech bud and claimed to stimulate cellular metabolism, and soothing purple orchid.

Other products include 24 Carat Gold Night Serum, containing 24 carat gold, to help boost cell renewal, pro-retinol, to help reduce wrinkle depth, and Repair Complex CLR, to help stimulate the body’s DNA repair system and counteract UV induced photo ageing. A hand treatment and treatment face mask complete the line up.
