Celebrity fragrances top the Christmas charts

Fragrances are undeniably a preferred Christmas gift of many. However, it seems it is the celebrity fragrance market that is winning the race, with the category making up 40% of all fine fragrances sold at high street chains this Christmas.

According to retailer Superdrug the growing dominance of celebrity perfumes has boosted its fragrance market share by 65% compared to last year. Celebrity favourites such as Kate Moss, Katie Price (Jordan), Britney Spears and Kelly Brook are leading the pack, with Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford losing precious points in the battle after being ousted by the retailer for not reaching satisfactory sales levels.
