Budelpack blames Schwarzkopf-Henkel for its downfall

Sub-contract cosmetics producer Budelpack based in Alsace has now been put into liquidation. The company blamed part of its difficulties on Schwarzkopf-Henkel, its former owner and principal client, which Budelpack accused of non-payment of €2.6m. Schwarzkopf-Henkel rejected the accusation and said the non-payment was related to a legal dispute with the Netherlands parent company of Budelpack over the earlier acquisition of the Alsace plant. The liquidation was announced by a tribunal in Colmar.
