Georges Kern will now sit on the Swiss natural soap and skin care brand's board of directors

The CEO of Breitling, the luxury Swiss watchmaker, has invested an undisclosed sum in natural skin care brand Soeder.

The beauty company, also based in Switzerland, specialises in refillable products across the face, hair and body.

Breitling's chief executive, Georges Kern, is said to have been a long-time personal fan of  Soeder.

Kern has been attributed to driving Breitling's sustainable strategies, including lab-grown diamonds and responsible gold mining.

The German-Swiss businessman will now sit on Soeder's board of directors to support the company's international expansion and boost global awareness.

"Georges’ passion for true luxury, sustainability and authenticity is exactly what Soeder is all about," wrote Soeder co-founder Hanna Olzon Åkerström on LinkedIn.

"But this achievement isn’t just about the investment. It’s a testament to the incredible work and dedication of our entire team and especially my co-founder and partner in this journey, Johan Olzon-Åkerström.

"From day one, Johan and I have shared a vision for creating something truly different in the skin care world – something that honours both people and the planet.

"This moment feels like a dream we’ve been working towards, together."

Founded in 2013 by the husband and wife, Soeder is based in Zurich and has three shops in the country.

The brand is also distributed through 500 stores across Europe, the US and Asia.
