Cardiff-based manufacturing firm BP Labels has achieved FSC Chain of Custody certification from the Rainforest Alliance.


Cardiff-based manufacturing firm BP Labels has achieved FSC Chain of Custody certification from the Rainforest Alliance.

BP Labels underwent an audit run by the Rainforest Alliance’s SmartWood programme, which assessed the company’s quality management, outsourcing arrangements, material storage and production control. It is one of just four UK-based label printers to boast FSC Chain of Custody certification.

“This is just the beginning,” said operations director Keith Postle. “We are now looking for ways of improving the environmental footprint of the other components of the labels, such as the backing paper, the ink and the adhesive.”
