Better butter

Jarchem Industries has introduced the Jarplex Exotic Butter Portfolio, featuring shea, cocoa, illipe, mango and rainforest butters with unique and distinctive properties that are said to lend themselves to a wide range of cosmetic and personal care applications.

Jarchem say the Jarplex Exotic Butter Portfolio has been carefully formulated to offer a broad range of delivery options from solid to semi-solid to liquid. Water-dispersible and powder forms are also available, allowing the formulator to use the products from 1% to 100% depending on the properties they are seeking. The range is also claimed to offer the following benefits: the exotic story of the natural product, strong functionality and performance due to high amounts of unsaponifiables and other beneficial natural components, and increased temperature stability and shelf life in the final cosmetic product.

Jarplex SB35 shea butter is suited to formulations using greater than 20% concentrations of shea butter by offering superior crystallization properties. Where slow crystallization can cause problems, such as graininess and white spots, Jarplex SB 35 crystallises and stabilises quickly for a uniform, consistent texture, even in products with a high vegetable lipid content such as body butters and balms.
