New from Bayer MaterialScience is the Baycusan® C product line. Baycusan® C comprises five products, a polyurethane (PU) powder and four solvent-free PU dispersions, developed specifically for the cosmetics industry.


New from Bayer MaterialScience is the Baycusan® C product line. Baycusan® C comprises five products, a polyurethane (PU) powder and four solvent-free PU dispersions, developed specifically for the cosmetics industry.

The PU powder Baycusan® C 1005 gives cosmetics a silky skin feel and ensures that pigment-containing products are easy to distribute without leaving visible traces of colour.

Baycusan® C 1000 and Baycusan® C 1004 (both PU dispersions) have film-forming properties that impart water resistance without giving a greasy feel to long-lasting make-up.

A speciality grade for peel-off masks, Baycusan® C 1003 is particularly suitable for sensitive skin formulations, while Baycusan® C 1001 forms a flexible film, which is ideal for use in hair styling products.

The waterborne PU dispersions are both solvent and preservative-free, making them environmentally friendly and gentle to the skin.
