BASF increases prices for methylamines

German speciality chemical company BASF has announced it is to increase the sales prices of its methylamine and key methylamine derivatives with immediate effect.


German speciality chemical company BASF has announced it is to increase the sales prices of its methylamine and key methylamine derivatives with immediate effect.

The increase of €50 per metric ton ($70) is a global decision and is said to apply to current supply agreements ‘as soon and as far as allowed under their terms and conditions’.

The methylamine derivatives affected by the increase include dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA), dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethylethanolamine (DMEOA) and methyldiethanolamine (MDEOA).
