Baker bows from Boots

Richard Baker, chief executive of Alliance Boots, is to leave the company following a management shake-up by private equity firm KKR.

Richard Baker, chief executive of Alliance Boots, is to leave the company following a management shake-up by private equity firm KKR.

In a statement the company announced that Baker had decided to pursue his career elsewhere. Alliance Boots will now operate with a new board and management structure, chaired by Stefano Pessina - who championed KKR's bid for the retailer.
