Award-winning actor Patrick Dempsey has collaborated with Avon to produce his first fragrance. Patrick Dempsey Unscripted, which has the tagline “Follow Your Passion”, was unveiled at an exclusive cocktail party hosted by Avon chairman and ceo Andrea Jung.
Patrick Dempsey Unscripted, created by International Flavors and Fragrances, is described as woody green scent, with cardamom and cracked black peppercorn. A warm, sophisticated heart comprises notes of fig and lavender, while leatherwood, patchouli, vetiver and musk provide a dry down.
“Patrick is one of the most respected, talented and successful actors of our generation, and for this we are so excited to offer consumers around the world a glimpse into Patrick’s passion for life through this new premium fragrance,” said Claudia Poccia, global president, Avon Strategic Alliances.
Dempsey echoed Poccia’s enthusiasm: “Collaborating with Avon to create Unscripted has been such an exciting journey for me.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to play a different creative role by working on the fragrance from start to finish. Unscripted is about loving what you do in your own unique way.”
Dempsey has won a Screen Actors Guild Award and a People’s Choice Award for his role as Dr Shepherd in popular TV show Grey’s Anatomy. Most recently, he has starred in romantic comedy Made of Honor. His wife, celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, is Avon’s global creative colour director.
Patrick Dempsey Unscripted will be available in the US for $32.00 from November.
