Are France’s town centres in decline?

More than 40% of French people believe they are, particularly in small towns

Forty-four percent of French people believe that their town centres are in decline, up 2% on last year, with the smaller towns feeling the pain the most, according to The Fourth Barometer of Town Centres and Business, a new survey by research company CSA Institute. 

Despite this, however, most people still enjoy shopping in town centres and markets.
