Alliance Boots’ profits rise

Alliance Boots has seen a 20.3% profit rise in its first year as a private company. Sales rose 4.2% to £6.8bn for the year to 31 March 2008.

Alliance Boots has seen a 20.3% profit rise in its first year as a private company. Sales rose 4.2% to £6.8bn for the year to 31 March 2008.

It has also confirmed its intention to move the company’s headquarters to Switzerland. Today it issued the following statement: “We have chosen to locate the overall stewardship and governance of the group in Switzerland as we believe it enhances the position of Alliance Boots as a leading international pharmacy-led health and beauty group alongside some of the worlds leading pharmaceutical manufacturers.”
