Rhodia has developed Jaguar HP120, a rapidly hydrated thickener that is fully compatible with alcohol for easy formulation of soap-free antibacterial hand gels. The guar derived thickener enables formulators to create hydro-alcoholic antibacterial solutions with moisturising ingredients such as glycerine.

Jaguar HP120 is compatible with hydrating agents so it can be used to make gels that don’t dry out the skin. Rhodia adds that formulations containing the solution leave hands feeling fresh and moisturised, neither dry nor sticky. The thickened gel texture allows consumers to better control the quantity required, while formulators benefit from Jaguar HP120’s quick hydration, which reduces cycle time to optimise gel production.
