Partnership will extend over the next two years

Vegetable fats specialist AarhusKarlshamm (AAK) has signed an agreement with the government of Burkina Faso where in will engage in tripling its activities with women’s groups in rural parts of the country over the next two years.

AAK says it is doing this to ensure the improved supply and quality of strategically important shea kernels and to improve living conditions locally in the villages.

The deal will see AAK commit to tripling the number of women with whom it works in the country while the Burkina Faso government, for its part, will support the further expansion of the formation and education of women’s groups throughout the country.
