PinoPlex™ is a bioinspired upcycling ingredient that is based on pine cones. Thanks to its moisturising capacity, PinoPlex™ offers a beautifying and strengthening effect on dry and brittle hair. The protective cuticle layer of the hair is an indicator of healthy hair – when the scales are smooth, moisture is locked into the hair which, in turn, appears healthy, beautiful, and vital. However, if the scales are open and protruding, moisture is then lost and the hair looks dull and frizzy. This process mirrors the open and closed structure of pine cone scales, and thus serves as a bio inspired concept. PinoPlex™ helps to both transport and retain moisture in the hair, as well as smoothes the cuticles.
PinoPlex™ is derived from pine cones that are hand collected in exceptional and carefully selected French forests. This upcycling product harbors valuable moisturising molecules that contribute to the beautifying effect of PinoPlex™.

Formulating with PinoPlex™
- Recommended use level: 1%
- Incorporation: For cold processes, dissolve PinoPlex™ in the aqueous phase. In cold / hot prcesses, add during the cooling phase (< 50 °C).
- Thermostability: Homogenization and temperaturesof up to 60 °C over a short period of time do not affect the stability of PinoPlex™.
