7th heaven, a cosmetics mask brand based in Wales, is opening a pop-up event to educate consumers about the welfare of rabbits and the wider issue of animal testing tomorrow.
The pop-up 'bunny spa' is being held in London’s Covent Garden from 11-14 March and features the opportunity for passers-by to indulge in beauty treatments. While some consumers will be given the chance to sit back in treatment chairs, others will be supplied with free hand, foot and finger masks to take away including those from the brand’s popular Charcoal, Avocado Oil, Dead Sea Mud and Chocolate ranges. At the same time, rabbits will also be on-site inside a special hay bale run, featuring multiple platforms, hiding places and toys.
7th Heaven spokesperson Steven Van Hemmen said: “At 7th Heaven we love animals as much as we love humans and this is the perfect way to combine the two.” He added: "And the [Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund] RWAF and RSPCA have given us great advice to ensure that our rabbits will be pampered just as much, with a huge hay bale run featuring platforms and hiding places, toys, plenty of food, barley straw and a relaxing, cool environment for them to enjoy. Qualified specialists will also be on hand to cater to their every whim.”
Consumers will also have the chance to buy drinks and healthy snacks, as well as 7th Heaven gift bags containing face masks and treatments; 50% of all sales made will be put towards the RWAF and other London rabbit rescues.
