National Starch has found that hair protection formulas made with film forming polymers offer a higher level of performance than products made with other functional ingredients.

In visual observations of light brown hair swatches dyed red, professional panellists identified a leave-on mousse made with 3% Celquat LS-50 film-forming polymer as the best performer after 10 washes.

The mousse formulation and details of the evaluation protocols, including the benchmark formulas, have been made available in a live webinar that can be accessed through the learning centre section of the National Starch website.
