In response to calls for eco-friendly products and manufacture, Cognis is offering a new system for manufacturers to determine the level of ‘greenness’ they want their products to offer.

Green Chemical Solutions is comprised of three easy guides: one for ingredients, one for formulations and one for regulations.

The Portfolio Easy Guide has a five-part rating system to determine how green each ingredient is, with the most natural of ingredients being derived from 100% natural, renewable feedstocks. The Formulation Easy Guide uses the Portfolio Easy Guide to determine how green the entire formulation might be and the Regulation Easy Guide helps formulators determine the suitable environmental label or certificate for their products.
