Unilever Ventures, the venture capital arm of Unilever, has ploughed £500,000 into on-demand blow dry services company blow LTD. The latest investment marks the eighth cash injection from blow LTD’s third fund.
In addition to this investment, blow LTD also received financial backing via a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs. Among those that put money into blow LTD’s pot is the ex-CEO of ASOS Nick Robertson. More than 200 people have invested in the company to date. blow LTD launched its Seedrs campaign in May. The total financial investment of the Unilever Ventures and Seedrs campaign equals more than £1m.
blow LTD was founded by Dharmash Mistry and Fiona McIntosh in 2013. It has provided more than 700,000 services to consumers since its launch.
