German ingredients supplier Symrise has announced the acquisition of Italian biotech company Cutech.
Details of the purchase were not disclosed.
The new agreement will provide Symrise with expertise in pre-clinical screening services for cosmetic ingredients and finished formulations and will expand Symrise’s presence in the efficacy testing of cosmetic ingredients, as well as bringing new opportunities for collaboration with partners from scientific institutions and increasing the go-to-market speed for novel active ingredients.
