The British luxury organic beauty company recognised as having “strong growth potential”

The Organic Pharmacy, the luxury organic beauty brand, has been acquired by Italian company Instituto Ganassini S.p.A di Richerche Biochimiche.

The deal is said to be “perfectly consistent” with Instituto Ganassini’s pharmaceutical roots while marking its entry into the organic products market.

Domenico Ganassini, Chairman of Istituto Ganassini, said: “We believe that The Organic Pharmacy has a strong growth potential.”

Founded by Margo and Francesco Marrone, The Organic Pharmacy distributes its products in 28 countries through four standalone stores in London, UK, and two in the US, in Los Angeles and New York.

The founders added: “We are particularly proud of having launched and developed The Organic Pharmacy, a brand which we believe strongly helps people to live healthier lives.

“We were very careful who we passed this leagacy to because we wanted to be sure they shared the same ethos and standards as us- we are delighted to continue growing The Organic Pharmacy with the help of the Ganassini family .”

As well as selling organic beauty products and supplements, The Organic Pharmacy is also an advocate for sustainability and recently held a sunscreen amnesty.
