The Hut Group wins Queen's Award for Enterprise

The owner of brands including ESPA, Illamasqua and Glossybox grew overseas revenues by 89% in fiscal 2016

The Hut Group, the parent company of beauty brands ESPA, Illamasqua and Glossybox, has scooped a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The company operates more than 160 websites selling premium consumer goods across the health and beauty market.

In the year to 31 December 2016, The Hut Group saw overseas revenues spike 89% to £316m.

Matthew Moulding, Founder and CEO of The Hut Group, said: “We are delighted to be recognised as part of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, which celebrates the wealth of business talent that the UK has to offer.

“Receiving the prestigious International Trade award is testament to the ambition, innovation and dedication of our people in developing The Hut Group into an internationally renowned, British business.”

Today the company ships to 195 locations worldwide and employs over 4,000 people.

Continuing on the expansion trail, The Hut Group is building a distribution centre in Poland, in order to facilitate next day delivery in continental Europe.

It already operates distribution centres in Cheshire and Kentucky, US.

The winners of the Queen’s Awards are announced yearly coinciding with The Queen’s birthday on 21 April.
