Packaging companies brave the lions at easyFairs
Four exhibitors pitch to an expert panel in Dragon’s Den-style contest
Exhibitors at this year’s easyFairs Packaging Innovations London will pitch their latest innovations to three expert judges in a contest inspired by the BBC TV show Dragon’s Den.
Taking place on 7 October as part of easyFairs’ learnShop programme, the competition – called Lions’ Lair – will feature three packaging experts: Dave Wiggins, head of confectionary design at Nestlé Confectionary; Bob Cave, packaging specialist at PepsiCo; and Packaging News editor Josh Brooks.
Facing the lions will be FFEI, Reach, PACK Innovation and Food Packaging Resource.
FFEI will be showcasing its RealPro 3D-Packager software, a visualisation tool specifically designed to streamline design and development, while packaging communication consultancy Reach is set to pitch a new process that involves customers right at the beginning of the design development process.
Up third is PACK Innovation, which will demonstrate its Easysnap mono-dose sachet concept and finally, Packaging Innovations exhibitor Food Packaging Resource will pitch its Spooncup for cold beverages, which features a domed lid and inserted stirrer to mix drinks as required.
easyFairs Packaging Innovations London will take place from 7-8 October at the Business Design Centre, London, UK.
