Nutriswiss’ gentle refining is said to be suitable for sensitive raw materials

Edible oils and fats refiner Nutriswiss has established a gentle refining process for organic oils to reduce process contaminants while preserving micronutrients.

Oils for use in the cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical industries, which would otherwise be of limited suitability for processing or trade, due to their intense flavours, colouration or exposure to environmental or transport contaminants, can now be made into safe ingredients, said the Lyss, Switzerland-based company.

Unlike conventional physical refining at high temperatures, Nutriswiss’ technique, which brings together a special combination of physical refining processes, is suitable for sensitive raw materials such as omega-3-rich seed oils, like rapeseed, linseed and algae oils.
