Gattefossé formulas channel theme of ‘escape’
The collection debuted at today’s Cosmet’Agora trade event in Paris
France-based cosmetic ingredients specialist Gattefossé has turned to ‘escapism’ as the theme of its 2022 Inspiration collection of formulas.
The collection is built on the move towards travel- and planet-friendly solid cosmetics, combining five formulations, namely: Magma Mask, a mask in the form of a solid black pellet; Everything Balm, a multifunctional anhydrous balm; Softer Skin Stick, a scrub in stick format for convenient use; Scalp & Body Scrub, an exfoliating wax that rinses off easily; and Slide n’ Foam, a solid facial cleanser.
Focusing on its Magma Mask, Gattefossé said that one pellet of the 98% natural origin mask represents a single dose of product, making it easy to pack only the needed quantity.
The user can crush a pellet of the Magma Mask in their palm, before mixing it with Everything Balm or hot water to form a thick black paste that can be spread directly onto the skin and rinsed off after ten minutes.
"As its name suggests, Inspiration is a collection of formulas created to inspire formulators by highlighting Gattefossé ingredients used out of their comfort zone,” said Flora Bollon, Product Marketing Leader Texture & Applications at Gattefossé.
"Each year, we focus on one or more themes illustrated with new formulations. The idea is above all for our lab team members to let their imagination and creativity run free, to propose original and surprising formulas while respecting our charter in terms of naturality and sustainability."
The 2022 collection will be showcased at Cosmet’Agora in Paris, which takes place today and tomorrow, on stand 90-91.
