Def Leppard’s new beauty range has been designed to reflect the soaring vocals of 1980's vibrant rock and roll era

Cult British rock band Def Leppard has released a limited-edition cosmetics and home fragrance range, which has been designed by cosmetics brand Rock and Roll Beauty.

Tapping into the band's glam rock roots, the collection includes eyeshadow palettes, shadow sticks, lipsticks, lip oils, highlighters, makeup brushes and nail decals.

Def Leppard, which was formed in Sheffield in 1977, said the theme of the range reflects the rock and roll era of “anthemic guitars, soaring vocals, and stadium rock sound”.

“With its shimmery pinks and metallic shades such as Rocket Blue, this 19-piece line is highly pigmented and designed to give you a rock-star look,” the musicians said in a post on Instagram.

The launch has proved to be a success with fans and beauty customers, with the majority of the collection selling out on Rock and Roll Beauty’s website.

Three candles have also launched alongside the band’s debut beauty entry.

This includes the Def Leppard Logo, made using a blend of cedarwood and orange citrus, and Pink Leppard, which features apricot, citrus and floral blossoms.

The last candle, Hysteria, has scents of woodland fir, earthen herbals, holiday spice and warm amber.

The range is available via Ulta Beauty stores, as well as ulta.com.

Epic Rights, a licensing agency for the band, handled the deal and product development.
