Church & Dwight reports a healthy Q2
Organic sales up 3.7%
Church & Dwight has reported a net sales increase of 3.2% to $696.4m for Q2 while organic sales put on an even healthier 3.7% which was driven by a 6.3% volume growth. Organic sales include the impact of a 2011 brand acquisition and foreign exchange rate changes.
James R Craigie, chairman and ceo of Church & Dwight comments: “We are very pleased with our second quarter business results in what continues to be a difficult economic environment. The organic sales increase of 3.7% reflects strong volume growth. Despite continuing weak category consumption in the US, we increased our market share on five of our eight power brands in the quarter.”
