Gerresheimer Q2 revenues up 10.3%
Group revenues for the quarter reached €314m
Revenues for glass and plastics manufacturer Gerresheimer rose to €314m in the second quarter of 2012, a 10.3% increase on the same period last year, the company has reported. Adjusted EBITDA was €58.6m, up 4.3% on the previous year figure, while net income after tax increased to €17.4m, which is €4.1m higher than the prior quarter figure.
All four divisions (Moulded Glass, Tubular Glass, Plastic Systems and Life Science Research) contributed to the growth in revenue. For the full year 2011, the cosmetics market segment, which is served by the Moulded Glass Division, generated around 12% of the Group’s €1,095m consolidated revenues.
The company said that in light of the sustained positive development of its business operations and the positive outlook, particularly in the Plastic Systems and Tubular Glass divisions, it has increased its revenue growth forecast by two percentage points to 9% to 10% for the 2012 financial year, assuming that the exchange rates remain constant. The company’s operating margin (adjusted EBITDA margin) forecast remains at 19.5%.
