Beauty industry heavyweight Donald J. Loftus has been named President of Parlux and Executive Vice President of Perfumania, effective immediately. Specialty fragrance retailer Perfumania acquired Parlux, whose portfolio includes celebrity fragrance brands Rihanna, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton, in an $118m transaction last year.
Most recently, Loftus served as the North American President and CEO of P&G Prestige. After holding the post for over ten years, he announced his retirement in January and was succeeded by Dennis Curran. Prior to P&G Prestige, Loftus held positions at Cosmopolitan Cosmetics, Escada Beaute and YSL Beaute.
"As we continue to grow our retail division and portfolio of prestige scents, Don's experience, creativity, and leadership will play an integral role in further developing synergistic partnerships and strategic branding initiatives," said Stephen Nussdorf, Executive Chairman of the board of directors for Perfumania Holdings.
