The designer's 3-sku 'clean' skin care line will drop next month on Space NK as well as its own website and London flagship

Fashion designer Stella McCartney has revealed the full details of her upcoming 'clean' skin care line, with products designed to be refillable and minimise environmental impact.

Launching next month, the 'conscious luxury' range comprises a cleanser, serum and moisturising cream, featuring natural-origin ingredients said to promote long term skin vitality.

Retailing from £50, the collection includes the Reset Cleanser, a 2-in-1 cleanser that melts away make-up and impurities from skin, leaving it soft, supple and hydrated; Alter-Care Serum, a multi-tasking serum for the face, décolleté and eye contour said to improve skin's tone and texture and suitable for all ages and skin tones; and Restore Cream, a restorative moisturiser that is said to strengthen the skin's protective barrier, visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin elasticity.

Developed in partnership with LVMH, the product formulas centre around natural origin extracts including organic rock samphire, rich in fatty acids to smooth fine lines and wrinkles; biotechnological lingonberry extract, a superfood said to help restore an even complexion and support skin elasticity and firmness; and wild organic birch sap, which helps to hydrate and restore firmness with minerals, sugars and vitamin C.

All of the products will be refillable, and are housed in reusable bottles made from recycled glass, in a move said to lower the product's environmental impact by up to half.

“The truth is that everything we create has an impact, the choice we have is how much,” said McCartney.

“It’s our responsibility to minimise this as much as possible, and, as an industry, to be honest and transparent about it.”

Meanwhile, the products feature a scent by Francis Kurkdjian, inspired by McCartney's childhood growing up in Scotland and said to give users a sense of wellbeing and confidence with notes of clove leaf, pine resin and mentholated eucalyptus.

The full collection will be available from early September on the brand's website stellamccartneybeauty.com as well as at its UK flagship store in London's Old Bond Street, before launching onto Space NK later this month.
