The brand is partnering with two key hotels in China’s Hainan province for the Lancôme Holiday Magic 2020 campaign

Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific is ushering in the festive season with the brand’s first ever strategic partnership with two major hotels in Hainan, China.

Merging online and offline, the Lancôme Holiday Magic 2020 campaign will take place at different pre-store visit touchpoints throughout travellers’ stays at the Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort and the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort.

Hotel guests will be greeted by 26-foot tall sparkling Eiffel Towers and Lancôme ambassadors giving out fresh roses, as well as the brand’s emblematic signature, with holiday greetings to hotel guests.

QR codes will be placed next to the Eiffel Towers and with the roses, inviting visitors to go to Lancôme e-store for an instant Christmas online shopping experience with special festive offers.

Finally, the brand’s ambassadors will redirect guests to visit Lancôme’s physical stores at Sanya Duty Free Shopping Mall for key holiday offers.

“Together with The Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort and the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, I am excited to bring Lancôme holiday magic to travellers in Hainan,” commented Stevie Wong, General Manager, Lancôme Travel Retail Asia Pacific.

“The collaboration between hospitality and beauty travel retail is indeed an important milestone.

“I am pleased to re-invent and usher in a brand-new travel retail consumer shopping experience by fusing beauty with digital innovations and services.”

The Lancôme partnership is the latest travel retail investment by owner L’Oréal in China’s Hainan province, which from July this year increased its annual tax-free shopping quota from RMB30,000 per person to RMB100,000 person.

In November, Lancôme partnered with China Duty Free Group for an ‘Aurora Light Journey’ Hainan takeover experience, while in the same month L’Oréal stablemate Kiehl’s likewise teamed up with China Duty Free Group for a ‘Kiehl’s Loves Hainan’ pop-up at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Mall.
