ABC TEXTURE – STAND FP6

New from ABC Texture are creams formulated to fill wrinkles, erase dark circles and minimise dilated pores. ABC Texture is one of 19 French companies exhibiting as part of Ubifrance’s pavilion (Stand FP).

AIGLON – STAND FP19

Aiglon will be exhibiting new formulations containing transgels; gelified emollients for water-free cosmetic gels; transfer-resistant make-up; and waterproof sun care concepts.

ALDIVIA – STAND FP3

Aldivia will showcase its line of ethical trade and sustainable plant and vegetable lipids for use in cosmetics.

ARCH PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS – STAND B20

Arch is launching a new patent pending active that harnesses the power of UV light and uses its energy to elicit an anti-ageing effect on the skin. BioLumen Firm – a combination of yeast amino acids, tricalcium phosphate and Morinda citrifolia extract – was found to improve skin elasticity in 83% of subjects in a 60-day study using 5% BioLumen Firm in the presence of sunscreen.

BIOLANDES – STAND FP10

A new addition to Biolandes’ portfolio is a BIO-CE and NOP-certified extract made from IFRA-compliant tree moss. It features a lichen note, which Biolandes says is appreciated by perfumers.

BIO-NEST BIOCHEMICAL ¬TECHNOLOGY – STAND D60

Bio-Nest Biochemical Technology – which claims to be Taiwan’s first cosmetic raw material manufacturer – will be showcasing its nano, liposome and encapsulation technologies in Bangkok. Products include Dermocapsule liposomes and encapsulated sunscreen dispersion SunCat.

BIOSYNTHESIS – STAND FP13

Biosynthesis specialises in renewable and biodegradable raw materials including speciality microcapsules, green polyesters and an Ecocert-certified vegetable emollient, described as an ideal alternative to cyclomethicones.

BREKO – STAND A61

Germany’s Breko is presenting three grape vine extracts containing resveratrol oligomers and monomers: Viniferol for slimming products, Resveratrox for anti-ageing applications and a new skinwhitening ingredient, Vitisin.

BURGUNDY – STAND FP18

The 2010 event will mark Burgundy’s first time as an exhibitor at in-cosmetics Asia. The company is a producer of botanical extracts and pure active molecules.

CHONGQING PELLETS TECHNIQUE & TRADE CO – STAND A51

Pellets will be showcasing three products launched in 2010 at the Bangkok show. Colorlets and Pearlets are coloured, shimmering microspheres that can be used to provide visual effects while microcapsules Oralets have been specially developed for use in toothpaste. Finally, Softlets are aqueous gel wet microcapsules that are easily broken down without any residue.

COBIOSA – STAND E37

A new exhibitor at in-cosmetics Asia, Cobiosa will be presenting a natural active obtained from the defensive secretion of snails. Poly-Helixan is derived from a liquid produced by Helix aspersa when under stress to help the mollusc repair damage to its skin. The rich complex contains allantoin, proteins, vitamins, AHAs and mucopolysaccharides as well as collagen and elastin, and is said to help delay premature ageing, diminish stretch marks and improve acne.

CODIF RECHERCHE & NATURE – STAND C60

November will see the launch of Codif ’s 3M3.Whiteris G, an algae extract that simulates the expression of three key genes – MITF, MART A and Myosin VA – in order to inhibit melanogenesis, maturation and the migration of melanosomes. Neurolight.61 G, an extract of star lily that inhibits the activation of melanogenisis via the alpha-MSH and neuronal pathways, will also be debuted at the event.

COGNIS – STAND E50

Ingredients displayed by Cognis will include Cegesoft SB – high quality shea butter with a melting point that corresponds to body temperature – and three new grades of Cosmedia product: Cosmedia PMMA V8 (PMMA microbeads); Cosmedia SILC (porous microspheres); and Cosmedia Cushion, a white powder that imparts a smooth, elastic touch to skin care and cosmetics.

COURAGE+KHAZAKA ELECTRONIC – STAND A30

Courage+Khazaka will be promoting its Visioline VL 650, a tool designed to analyse lines and macro wrinkles. The process, says Courage+Khazaka, involves a skin replica illuminated with oblique light at a 35° angle. The replica’s mountains (representing wrinkles) produce measurable shadows, which are digitalised by a high-resolution camera. The data then serves as a basis for arithmetical measurements. Images, including before and after shots, can be compared and evaluated together. 3D and false colour images can also be created as a marketing feature while the replica can be made in different sizes to represent any body site.

COSMETOCHEM INTERNATIONAL AG – STAND E44

Swiss company Cosmetochem is channeling indigenous Australian knowledge with Outback Spirit TM Botanicals, a line of ingredients based on the sustainable harvest of Australian plants in an ethical partnership with indigenous enterprise.

CPN – STAND F10

Czech hyaluronic acid specialist CPN will be promoting Tenneliderm – hyaluronic acid chemically modified by caproic acid – launched earlier this year.

CREATIONS COULEURS – STAND FP15

Créations Couleurs is offering new sun care ingredients based on intriguing research into the photostability of varnishes used on 300-year-old Stradivarius violins. The two products are a normal cold processed emulsion at SPF 120 and an SPF 200+ water-resistant version. According to Créations Couleurs, visible skin whitening is seen within four to five days of wearing the new Stradivarius base versus non-treated skin of an SPF 50+ formula.

CRODA – STAND B10

ChromaVeil – broad spectrum UVA protection for hair – and liquid dispersion polymer OptaSense RMA-IS are the two most recent launches from Croda.

CUSKIN – STAND G67

Korean cosmeceutical specialist CUSkin has launched a new skin care line for mature skin. Doctor MK Vitamin U contains vitamin U, a derivative of the amino acid methionine that accelerates wound healing. CUSkin says that in preliminary trials, vitamin U helped aged skin recover effectively.

DAMY CHEMICAL CO – STAND D60A

New from Damy Chemical are B9-Vitapol (which transfers folic acid into polyglutamate form); Bio-Placenta, which contains five kinds of growth factor; hydrophilic ceramide 3 compound Ceracare H40; paraben-free preservative EDE-cide-plus; and PhS-1-phosphate, which helps promote collagen synthesis.

DOW CORNING – STAND A10

Dow Corning (pictured top) brand silicone emulsifiers provide broader options for the oil phase of the formulation, expanding texture and sensory options. The company says it will be offering an array of emulsifying solutions and technical advice on its stand at the 2010 event.

DR STRAETMANS CHEMISCHE PRODUKTE – STAND B45

Among the ingredients being promoted by Dr Straetmans at in-cosmetics Asia are natural deodorant active Dermofeel TEC eco; antimicrobial Dermosoft PEA eco; Symbiomuls WO, a PEG-free w/o emulsifier blend; and Symbiosolv XC, a natural solubiliser said to bridge the gap between natural sourcing and high performance.

DSM NUTRITIONAL PRODUCTS – STAND A40

New to the market is Tilamar Fix A1000, a solid acrylic bead from DSM designed for the creation of low viscosity hair care formulations, making it ideal for use in sprays, including aerosols. Tilamar Fix A1000 is also said to outperform the benchmark for high humidity curl retention.

ECKART – STAND D44

Effect pigments company Eckart is showcasing three new products: Mirage, a deep blue borosilicate pigment; Syncrystal, pearlescent pigments based on synthetic fluorphlogopite for a bright white effect; and a new copper shade called Visionaire.

GALAXY SURFACTANTS – STAND A21

Galaxy Surfactants’ SCG is derived from glycine and coco fatty acid and is said to be similar to soap but milder. According to galaxy it can be formulated in shower gels, facial cleansers, shaving gels and shampoos. It cleanses while improving skin moisture, imparting a cooling sensation without drying the skin.

H&A PHARMACHEM – STAND D70

H&A Pharmachem will be presenting several recent launches, including Nanocare, a natural emulsifier composed of hydrogenated lecithin and vegetable lipids, and Aqua CLA, conjugated linoleic acid for use in skin care.

H&R CHEMPHARM – STAND F32

Thailand’s H&R ChemPharm plans to introduce new oil gels at what will be its first in-cosmetics Asia as an exhibitor. Pionier PLW’s viscosity is hardly influenced by temperature, according to H&R ChemPharm, and the ingredient allows for the production of very stable w/o creams. Pionier Gel PAO meanwhile is a highly transparent, mineral oil-free oil gel made of hydrogenated polydecane.

ICHIMARU PHARCOS CO – STAND C44

New from Ichimaru Pharcos are Algae Filmer for damaged hair; a new whitening mechanism, Alpiniawhite; and Amachazuru, which helps improve the skin’s barrier function.

ID BIO – STAND FP5

Recent launches from ID Bio include fruit actives from mango and papaya. The actives increase hyaluronic acid synthesis and lipidic destorage while improving skin’s firmness and elasticity. They also boast smoothing and claming properties.

INDUCHEM AG – STAND A35

Induchem will be offering its new line of Unisooth complexes designed to inhibit skin irritation.

INNOSPEC – STAND D50

Innospec is coinciding the event with the launch of its new Sensymer waxes. The range will initially include polyethylene waxes for use in exfoliating products and scrubs, oxidised polyethylene waxes to waterproof sunscreens, EVA copolymers that offer softer waxes with high polarity and micronised waxes which enhance the texture of powders in addition to acting as binders and dry-feel lubricants.

INTERPOLYMER – STAND FP8

Interpolymer will be promoting Syntran PC 5775, its new water resistant polymer for use in colour cosmetics and personal care.

IRB – STAND H58

Following the global launch of its Bangkok Gardenia jasminoides stems G in Paris this year, IRB will premier the new ingredient in Asia. The plant stem cell-based active provides a three-level control of collagen turnover. It improves collagen synthesis, inhibits collagenase enzymatic activity and reduces MMP1 release from aged fibroblasts.

JAVENECH – STAND FP17

New exhibitor Javenech specialises in marine ingredients including highly polymerized DNA, type V collagen, glycoprotein, protamine sulfate and a unique blend of caffeine and protamine sulfate.

LABORATOIRE PROD’HYG – STAND FP16

New form Laboratoire Prod’Hyg and its botanical extraction unit Leticc is an organic certified active based on organic grapefruit seeds and organic certified glycerin that provides sebum regulating properties and boasts anti-inflammatory action.

Cognis’ active ingredients business Laboratoires Sérobiologiques will use the event to exhibit its latest products, Radianskin – a skin lightening synthetic molecule – and a maitake mushroom extract with a dual anti-ageing action called Eterniskin.

LABORATOIRE SONIAM – STAND FP9

Laboratoire Soniam has developed a new range of organic products made from germinated seeds.

LESSONIA – STAND FP1

Lessonia will exhibit its 100% natural active LycoMega, which helps protect against UVB, and which has been created for use in sun care, anti-ageing and other skin care products. Antioxidants from tomato seeds and anti-inflammatory properties imparted by omega-3 from cranberry seeds are said to be responsible for this effect.

LIPO CHEMICALS – STAND C30

In-cosmetics Asia 2010 will also feature a range of speciality ingredients from Lipo Chemicals. These include: Lipomulse Luxe, a complete emulsifier system; Lipovol Natural Oils and Lipobutter; patented emollient ester blends, Lipovol MOS; Liponate Emollient Esters; polymeric emollients, Panalane and Silkflo; nine delivery system technologies; Liposilt, a naturally occurring bioactive silt; and Liponic EG-1 a three-in-one humectant, emollient and solubiliser.

LIPOTEC – STAND D40

Lipotec is chiefly focusing on two ingredients in Bangkok: Thermostressine and Inyline. Thermostressine helps increase cell tolerance against daily stresses such as UV, extreme temperatures and jet lag while Inyline relaxes muscles at the post-synaptic pathway, helping to delay first signs of ageing wrinkles.

MIBELLE BIOCHEMISTRY STAND E21

EpiCalmin TCM, a synergic combination of three plants used in traditional Chinese medicine designed to de-stress skin, NanoCacao, a lipophilic fraction of cocoa beans encapsulated in a nano-emulsion, and plant stem cell actives PhytoCellTec Alp Rose and PhytoCellTec Solar Vitis (derived from grape) will all be promoted by Mibelle at the 2010 show.

MICRO POWDERS INC – STAND F37

Recent launches from MPI include three EcoSoft Ecocert-approved micronised powders as well as a range of non-irritating EcoScrub exfoliating powders.

OLVEA – STAND FP4

Olvea is showcasing high quality cold pressed argan oil from Morocco, which is said to have exceptionally high levels of fatty acids (omega-6) and gammatocopherols. Pressed shea butter manufactured in Burkina Faso will also be on offer. Olvea fully controls the supply chain to guarantee traceability and quality. Both products are Ecocert certified organic.

SACI-CFPI – STAND FP7

SACI-CFPI offers a range of products complying with European regulations including Ecocert-certified green chemistry ones.

SEDNA – STAND FP11

SEDNA – a new exhibitor to in-cosmetics Asia – develops active ingredients for skin and hair health from cereal and fruit oils.

SEPPIC – STAND B38

In Bangkok, Seppic will unveil a new generation polymer, SepiMax Zen. The thickening and stabilising polymer powder has a unique structure that enables the production of aqueous clear gels with a novel skin feel, even at acid pH.

SILAB – STAND E30

Pro-Collone+ is the star attraction of Silab’s range of active substances called ‘Silab actives you can’t perform without’. Containing highly purified HRGPs glycopeptides from soya, Pro-Collone+ is said to boost collagen I synthesis, smooth surface micro-relief and reduce crow’s feet wrinkles.

SOPHIM – STAND FP20

Sophim launches Organic Phytowax 18L75, a multi-benefit organic emollient derived from olive.

STRAHL & PITSCH – STAND C46

Wax specialist Strahl & Pitsch has commercialised new natural waxes to complement its existing range. These include laurel wax, for a rich skin feel in creams and sticks; pure rice wax, which helps prevent syneresis; Vegerite waxes, a vegetable-based replacement for petroleum derived ozokerite; tea wax; natural wax jellies to replace petrolatum; vegetable oilevent based butters; functional fatty acids called Puresters; and Ecocert-approved organic and NPA listed waxes.

STEARINERIE DUBOIS – STAND FP14

Stéarinerie Dubois will be offering a wide range of esters of synthetic and plant origin, linear or branched, as well as sucrose and other speciality esters.

Antiperspirant actives specialist Summit Research Labs is introducing its UltraZAG line of antiperspirant actives. The enhanced aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex glycine materials have maximum controlled aluminium and zirconium powder distributions and lower adjusted metal to chloride molar ratios and are said to outperform typical ZAG actives by 15-25%.

TECHNATURE – STAND FP2

Peel-off mask specialist Technature will be showcasing its shaker masks as well as selfheating massage stones and other spa products.

UNIPEX – STAND C58

Unipex will be showcasing its latest innovations: ß-White, a TGF-ß biomimetic peptide for use in skin lightening formulations; Exo-P, an eco-friendly active from French Polynesia that shields against aggressions resulting from urban pollution; and a concept featuring three active ingredients – Drieline, ChroNOline and Exo-T – designed to minimise the appearance of stretch marks.

VIVIMED LABS – STAND A41

Skin lightening agent Vivinol, hair growth active Vividine and a line of cationic conditioners known under the trade name Co-Guars will be showcased by Vivimed during 2010’s event. The company will also shine the spotlight on its newly launched hair dye Jaracol Blue 12, which can be used to impart intense colour to semi- permanent formulations, and Jarocol TAP, a safer alternative to PPD.

XENTECH CO – STAND A19

Pigment specialist XenTech will be exhibiting its recently launched Tiara Pearl Pigment line of high-lustre pigments. Also on display will be Titan Pearl Pigment, which prevents colours from spreading or changing during the aqueous solution phase.

ZSCHIMMER & SCHWARZ STAND B46

The care specialities division of Zchimmer & Schwarz will be answering three major market requests: improved mildness in rinse-off formulations, the ongoing green trend and sustainability. Surfactant blends that allow the easy formulation of mild cleansing products with good foaming properties, modern green cosmetic materials and multifunctional ingredients that enable the reduction of a product’s carbon footprint will all be promoted at in-cosmetics Asia 2010.
