In total, UK women give up an estimated 41 hours a year to their beauty routines

Women in the UK spend an estimated 24 minutes on maintaining a skin care routine every month.

According to vouchercodespro.co.uk, women spend around 3 hours and 25 minutes on their overall beauty routine each month – totalling 41 hours a year.

However, despite the rise of the popular 10-step Korean-inspired skin care routines in the West, skin care was not the most time-consuming beauty regime.

Waxing came out in top place, with women spending an average of 55 minutes per month having their hair removed either at home or in a salon.

Plucking eyebrows was the next most time-consuming activity, with 27 minutes dedicated per month to crafting the perfect arch.

Meanwhile shaving, another common hair removal regime, and maintaining and painting nails both took an average of 20 minutes a month from consumers.

The survey consulted 2,256 women aged 18 and over; on average the participants began their beauty regimes as young as 13-years-old and continued up to age 58.
