Few skin care trends have real staying power, but oils are proving a sticking point

Since facial oils went mainstream a few years ago, consumers haven’t looked back.

In the past, many would gravitate towards oil-free products, adhereing to the common school of thought that oil-based products and oil-prone skin would never be a wise match.

However, this myth was soon dispelled as oils were scientifically found and promoted to be beneficial to acne-prone and combination skin, as much as dry skin, working with the body’s natural oils not against them.
