The consumer goods giant will be at in-cosmetics Global in London listening to start-up ideas, in a bid to find the next big idea

Next week beauty start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to personal care conglomerate J&J.

The US multinational will be accepting three minute pitches from global early stage entrepreneurs at in-cosmetics Global conference in London, 4-6 April.

The Flash Cosmetics Pitch event will give participants the chance to win €5,000 of project funding and be part of the in-cosmetics Global Awards Ceremony.

Emma Kohring, Innovation Communication Leader at J&J, told Cosmetics Business: “The winner will also gain access to J&J Innovation experts in the areas of business and science to help to advance their idea further.”

She explained that the pitches must fit within one of the following categories: anti-ageing, devices, digital beauty, microbiome, naturals and personalisation.

“The product has to solve an important unmet consumer need and deliver a breakthrough scientific innovation that is unique and novel,” Kohring added.

Previously in-cosmetics has partnered with Beiersdorf for the Innovation Pitch.
