Mood of optimism on the show floor

Europe's premier cosmetic ingredients show, in-cosmetics opened on Tuesday in Milan to positive acclaim from both organisers and exhibitors. The show which is being held at Milan's Fiera Milano Rho exhibiton centre enjoyed a busy opening day and is expected to continue to draw in the crowds this week.

"This is a very good show and the quality of the meetings we have had so far has been excellent," commented Victor J Zubb, international account manager, personal care ingredients, HallStar on Tuesday. "We have had back to back meetings all day."

Andy Girdharry, global marketing manager, personal care, AkzoNobel added: "Milan is a draw for people and the show is drawing people to Italy. We have had a great deal of interest in our new products and the feeling here is very positive."

The sentiment was echoed by the organisers. Paul Wilson, who took over the role of group exhibition director for the in-cosmetics group six weeks ago could not have hoped for a better start. "This is a wonderful event and and I am very excited to be joining the group," he commented.
