Global chemical and ingredients distributor Univar Solutions has appointed a new Senior Vice President for its Global Beauty Care and Nutrition business.
Matthew Ottaway was first hired by the company in 2007 and spent three years as Univar’s Supplier Director.
He rejoined the business in 2014 as its Personal Care Industry Director for EMEA before he was promoted to Vice President Focus Industries almost three years later.
In his new role, Ottaway will helm Univar’s global expansion and growth of the company’s beauty, personal care and food ingredients businesses.
“Matthew has a long history of driving a greater level of growth for our organisation and connectivity across industry verticals globally,” said Univar’s President and CEO David Jukes.
“With Matthew’s proven senior leadership in this important role, we are well positioned with customers and suppliers to take advantage of growth trends and lead the chemical and ingredient distribution market with new ideas that help us strategically grow with our suppliers and meet customer demand.”
Ottaway has more than 20 years of chemical and ingredients experience, having previously held Director roles at Bayer HealthCare, ISP, Eurofins and Blagden Speciality Chemicals.
