Umberto Giannini has appointed Julie Tatarczuk as its new Managing Director.

She joins the British hair care brand after 25 years in beauty.

Tatarczuk’s career started at Boots, but she was previously Managing Director and VP at Kao Corp; Group VP of Brand Marketing at Avon; President of Liz Earle Beauty Company and President and General Manager of Avon Philippines.

In 2016 she was the General Manager of UK and Western Europe for Jeunesse.

“We are delighted that Julie has joined our all female team and shares our mission to reinvent hair care,” said Claire Shread, owner of Umberto Giannini.

“I am extremely excited to have Julie on board to drive forward our vision, amplifying our team’s wealth of product knowledge, market expertise and creativity to provide women with a ‘hairstyle’ in a bottle that is easy for them to recreate salon worthy hair at home.”

Tatarczuk has been appointed to the role due to her experience of global markets which, the brand said, has given her an understanding of different cultures that will help the brand grow in regions ranging from Western Europe to Asia.

The announcement comes as Umberto Giannini revealed to Cosmetics Business its global expansion plans.

Earlier this year, the brand said it will be expanding to Australia, Thailand, Norway, South Korea and the Middle East.
