This will be the first time a tech beauty brand has fully integrated with Uber

bgX, a new beauty tech company, has partnered with Uber to connect professional hair salons to consumers.

The collaboration has been designed to provide salon styling for people at home or work and will roll-out in London, Paris and Dubai first.

Co-founders Ali Rafi and Paria Ghorashi started the tech platform in Dubai delivering beauty services to women at home - under blowout&go - as they saw a gap in the market for time-poor women who were unable to visit salons.

“Nowdays customers are demanding immediate services via their mobile apps and there is a huge demand for beauty services to be delivered in this way,” said Ghorashi.

“Customers will be able to book a stylist to their home or office directly from their smartphone. The platform will provide a convenience and fast service for busy people on the go.”

The price will start from £65 for a blow dry and is expected to roll-out to cities across the US, Asia and Europe.

Ghorashi added: “We expect delivery of all kinds of high quality services immediately and transparently via our mobile phones - whether it be food delivery, transport or parcels - and beauty is no different.”
