The range's name takes inspiration from influential men in Ford's life

On 26 December Tom Ford will launch Lips & Boys, a collection of 50 mini lipsticks

The collection will be available via a tight selection of 100 doors worldwide, on the Tom Ford website for one day only and through 200 Tom Ford points of sale. The products will be rolled out to the rest of the world in February.

The mini format is designed to fit into the smaller handbags that Ford says women now carry. The lipsticks, which cost €33, are enriched with soy extract, murumuru butter and oil of chamomile. The 50 shades are named after men who have been influential in Ford’s life, such as James, Henry and Francesco. The range is packaged in elegant black and gold square tubes with gold caps.

Ford, who has a firm presence in men’s and women’s fashion, jewellery and accessories, entered the beauty market in 2005 when he left Gucci Group and announced a beauty collaboration with Estée Lauder. Colour products followed in 2010 with the Private Blend Lip Color Collection. The company is now growing at around 35% per year.
