Activated charcoal, whether it be in powder form or formulated into toothpaste, really kickstarted the oral care category’s movement from functional to fabulous.

One of the brands riding this wave has been British brand Whites Beaconsfield, founded at the end of 2019 by brothers Ollie and Toby Brittan, and Tom Jansons.

The fledgling company enjoyed revenues of £4m in just one year and plans to expand across Europe and into the US.
