There isn't an ear in the nation that hasn't heard the word 'Deliveroo' uttered in the past seven years. After all, it’s the food delivery app that has revolutionised how the UK eats.
One of Britain's most valuable start-ups, the company is worth upwards of US$2bn, while a study by Capital Economics estimated that Deliveroo boosted the UK economy by $470m in 2017. Last year, the app received $575m in funding from Amazon and is now teaming up with beauty and wellness companies to help consumers receive their cosmetic essentials in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
