The UK perfume retailer has named a mix of signature scents and new launches in its list of what will be the most sought-after fragrances for Christmas 2022

Gucci’s Flora Gorgeous Jasmine and Paco Rabanne’s Fame are among the fragrances predicted to fly off the shelves this Christmas, according to UK retailer The Perfume Shop.

The company, which has more than 230 shops nationwide, asked its fragrance experts to reveal what will be the ten most sought-after scents for the festive period.

Among this year’s predicted bestsellers are three new fragrance launches for women.

Gucci’s Flora Gorgeous Jasmine is a grandiflorum jasmine-infused scent in a turquoise bottle decorated with the brand’s flora pattern.

Paco Rabanne’s Fame, meanwhile, is a vegan mango and jasmine perfume in an avant-garde robot bottle.

Prada’s new Paradoxe scent is also predicted to be on many customers' wish list. It is a “flower fresh” fragrance housed in a tilted-designed bottle which is refillable.

The retailer is reporting strong sales for fan favourites too, with certain classics predicted to sell out, including Mugler Alien and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.

Men’s fragrances that have made the top ten include Dior Sauvage, 1 Million, Armani's Code Parfum and Hugo Boss' Boss Bottled.

Montblanc Explorer, an aromatic scent with green bergamot notes, is also predicted to be a bestseller.

“We’ve seen some exciting new fragrance launches this year and expect that many of these will be snapped up this Christmas,” said Cathy Newman, The Perfume Shop’s Marketing and Customer Experience Director.

“The classics will always make the list, but we are expecting to see a mix of both signature scents and this year’s hottest new launches making the cut.

“We can’t wait to see what customers will be adding to their Christmas lists as the festive season of shopping takes off.”
