After a highly competitive interview round with 6 short-listed brands, The Red Tree is delighted to announce that 3 brands have made it through to The Beauty Accelerator 2021 Final: Atypical Cosmetics, KANKAN and This Hair Of Mine.

In this article we hear from the brand founders about what it means to be in the Final and the chance to receive £150,000 equity investment from SFC Capital plus a year-long partnership with The Red Tree:

Atypical Cosmetics creates customised skin care and is founded by Marwa Ebrahim. Marwa says: “We are thrilled to be in The Beauty Accelerator Final alongside such trailblazing brands. As a recently launched and bootstrapped startup, Atypical has gone from strength to strength and we are very excited for the opportunity to pitch to The Red Tree and SFC Capital and accelerate what we have started with Atypical”.

Co-founders of KANKAN, a modern personal care brand on a mission to make refill and reuse the desired lifestyle choice, Mary McLeod and Eliza Flanagan tell us: “To date Kankan has been in its MVP stage as a business, garnering lots of support KANKAN’s founders from our customers along the way. We are thrilled at the prospect of partnering with a team that could add huge strategic value in taking KANKAN to this next exciting stage”.

This Hair Of Mine T.H.O.M is the luxury textured hair and scalp-care brand that will reinvent the beauty landscape. Co-founded by Cyndia Harvey and Remi Anjani, they are “over the moon with excitement to be one of the brands that has progressed to the final of The Beauty Accelerator. Gaining the support from SFC and The Red Tree will bring us a step closer to making a real impact on our mission of changing the face of luxury hair care, forever”.
