Test Technician - South-West - £25,000 - £30,000 (AE331818)

Are you an experienced Laboratory Test Technician with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail?

Do you have a love for all things cosmetics and personal care and proving what works?

Joining a fast-paced and dynamic Personal Care research team, you will assist research scientists and engineers in developing new product opportunities. Utilising your skills with testing early-stage concepts and experimental investigations to measure prototype performance, testing for results on texture and appearance.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced and have a successful track record of working within a GMP, GLP or lab-based testing environment. You will have proven success in taking ownership of sensitive equipment, calibration and maintenance and lab management duties.

A relevant degree in Science or Engineering and experience in a similar role is critical, as you will undertake multiple responsibilities, such as enacting procedures to ensure the correct handling of prototypes and finished goods. Experience in the personal care or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.

Working in an upstream research team, you must have the ability to manage multiple test briefs simultaneously. The ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet targets whilst retaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

Working in the Lab you will have previous experience of using laboratory equipment, computer systems to handle data, and a methodical mindset to carry out routine technical tasks to ensure accuracy in your testing and records.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with a proactive can-do attitude. You will be an excellent communicator, as you produce high quality test reports, with a sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills.

You will be able to draw on previous experience and technical knowledge to devise and implement improvements in the lab. Flexibility, and the capability to work independently as well as within a team will enable you to adapt to changes in your workload in this fast-paced environment.

Experience with cosmetics, skin care, hair care, pharmaceuticals or food and drink is essential.

This is an exciting role with a lot of potential for growth and development and a brilliant opportunity to work for a great company!
