Lake Chemicals and Minerals shares: "As a fast-growing business in UK Chemical Distribution, we are now looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our Personal Care Division.

This position will be home based but requires travel across the UK to meet with customers, and occasional overseas travel for exhibitions and supplier consultations. Our Innovation Hub and head office is in the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities of your new role:

  • Achieve annual sales budget for a leading range of personal care ingredients, by developing relationships, managing a territory of customers and seeking out prospects.
  • Making visits that allow you to create opportunities, driving organic and sustainable growth for Lake Personal Care.
  • Develop key markets aligned to the vision, mission and strategy of the Division.
  • Partner with suppliers and customers to seek solutions to their technical challenges and deliver best in class customer service.
  • Capture sales information and activities on CRM.
  • Collaborate with Lake’s Innovation and Strategic Insights teams to develop innovative sales tools and build credible expertise within the UK market.
  • Utilise your knowledge of the market and customer interactions and contribute to the strategic direction of Lake Personal Care.

Experience and Qualification

We are looking for a technical salesperson who has knowledge of the UK cosmetic and personal care market and has experience developing beneficial commercial partnerships with UK brands and manufacturers.

You will be educated to BSc level or equivalent in a relevant technical/scientific discipline or hold equivalent industrial experience. It is desirable to have an SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science and since colleague development is at the heart of our Ultimate Colleague Value, we would provide support to study for this qualification.
