Tate & Lyle acquires oat beta glucan manufacturer Biovelop

Biovelop produces oat beta glucan under the brand name Avenacare in the C&T industry


Tate & Lyle, a provider of speciality food ingredients and solutions, has acquired Biovelop, a manufacturer of oat beta glucan.

For use in the cosmetics industry, Biovelop produces oat beta glucan under the brand name Avenacare, while it also develops oat beta glucan under the brand name PromOat for use in the food, beverage and supplement markets. Biovelop operates from a production facility in Kimstad, Sweden, and manufactures its products from non-GMO oats from Sweden using a chemical-free process.
