Superdrug is due to introduce a chatbot dedicated to skin care advice, called Bella.

Rolling out on 26 July for three months, Bella will be used to help promote Simple’s new limited edition collection.

Meg Potter, Superdrug Head of Beauty, said: “Engaging with customers and offering them skin care advice is something we’re passionate about so when Simple came to us with this idea we were delighted to launch exclusively in our stores.

“There are some amazing skin care products available, but the more products there are the more bespoke advice customers need to find their perfect match. The AI technology used in the chatbot will offer a personal approach, when and where the customer needs help.”

Bella can be used on the Facebook messenger app while consumers are shopping in-store; if they are not in one of Superdrug’s locations, the app will point them to the nearest shop.

Other features include skin care looks, tips and how to tutorials.
