Paper packaging and biomaterials company Stora Enso has joined forces with Microsoft to bring cloud-based intelligent packaging solutions to its customers.
Intelligent Packaging by Stora Enso uses Microsoft Azure, a global and scalable cloud platform that enables reliable and secure data collection and analytics for clients investing in intelligent packaging solutions.
It integrates RFID technology enabling the product to be tracked, traced and tamper-proofed throughout the supply chain.
Additionally, the technology allows communication between the brand owner and end user via NFD. Through the Microsoft cloud service all data are collected for analytics to support and improve business efficacy.
Stora Enso says it and Microsoft are currently involved in multiple projects in this area with large international enterprises in various industries.
